Training horses can be a difficult and time-consuming task. It requires a lot of energy and trust in order for a horse to cooperate completely with you during training.
If they aren't totally trusting of you, expect to have your work cut out for you. Luckily, there are steps you can take to strengthen that trust, such as liberty work.
On a pleasant, sunny morning this woman took two of her horses to the beach to participate in some liberty work, an exercise that builds trust and strengthens the bond between horse and rider. As you can see from the video, both of these horses respect their owner and enjoy being with her. A horse that isn't as committed to their owner would quickly become disinterested or try to walk away from the exercise.
Seeing these horses voluntarily and happily follow the directions she is giving to them just goes to show that you can build a wonderful, tight relationship as long as you have the patience and dedication!
What a lovely moment to film and such a beautiful place to film it! Share with your horse loving friends!
