Famed photographer Helen Peppe is a true artist when it comes to capturing horses in all their glory.
You'd think she'd have to use an expensive camera to get such incredible shots, but that's actually not the case.
"That's the go-to response for people who aren't photographers. I do not even use a professional-level camera even though I shoot professionally. The real camera is the photographer's eye," she told iHeartHorses.
So what does she use?
“It is timing (which includes patience and a knowledge of horse behavior) and it is an understanding of light and camera mechanics,” she told iHeartHorses.
Currently, Peppe is working on several books. The latest in her young adult series about girls and horses, Forever Home, was published in 2016. Beyond the Saddle, the Compassionate Bond (working title) will come out simultaneously with Naked, her second memoir, in late 2017.
